It is well known to many Milanese that the prodigious hands of Pasta Mother (read post here) churn out every day with croissant breakfasts, lunches and dinners of delicious dishes of traditional Sicilian and Pugliese cuisines (some really impossible to find in Milan). But since few weeks ago the dough with the natural yeast (which has more than 85 years!) also takes the form of a delicious "colomba" (that means Easter dove) with a scent of orange and the taste of genuine lightness.
A white cloth and a sprig of olive completes the package, making the colomba looking real in its simplicity and elegance.
Hard times for the chocolate egg: the colomba of Pasta Madre will have a place of honor among my gift list and on the menu of my Easter lunch!
