Lupo Bistronomia

A place nice like this cannot fail to catch the attention of the people walking in Via Gian Giacomo Mora. Just a glimpse of a white wall with red stripes to attract the eyes and just a couple of steps to find out that this is a place nice and new. His name starts with Lupo (that in italian means wolf and it is the last name of Mark, the owner) and is completed with Bistronomia, the new format of haute cuisine prêt-à-porter who brings along palates and portfolios of gourmets.
This is a bistro open from 8 am for breakfast with coffee, bread, butter and jam (of strawberry, of course!) and then turns into gastronomia for lunch and dinner, serving original dishes with seasonal ingredients that are carefully selected (see the menu with prices).

Breakfast, lunch, dinner? Hard to choose where to start the tasting, but in doubt my friends and I began with an evening burger which is scheduled only on Tuesday evening (cost 12 € including water or soft drink).
Hamburger steak, chicken or vegetarian? Here I have less doubts and I went for the version with beef, roasted eggplant, parmesan cheese, lettuce and tomatoes. Original and thoughtful combinations that give a Mediterranean touch to the hamburger! Very good also the chips and baked potatoes that accompany the dish!
The service was accurate and courteous even though, admittedly, the restaurant was not full (it opened only 3 weeks ago)!
The first impression of Lupo Bistronomia was certainly very positive and I would suggest the hamburger!
I just have to return soon to taste some dishes from the gourmet menu and see if this place, with its fabulous name and colors, will really deserve a blog post with a happy ending!
